‘Colour & Stuff’

Combine dyes, fabric paint, and a ‘bit of glitz’ for creative
fabric and surface effects. Using a ‘mixed media’ approach
of layering, printing, transferring and foiling, explore regular
and ‘novelty’ surfaces. End the session with lots of ideas and
(time allowing) with a piece of unique fabric.

Regional Summer School. Roffey Park

Due to the success of our previous two years we are once again holding our Summer School for 2018 at the Roffey Park Institute set in the beautiful countryside near Horsham.

In the last two years we also had a ‘stitching retreat’ as part of summer school, this was for people who did not want to be tutored but just enjoy a whole weekend stitching and enjoying the accommodation and facilities of Roffey Park. It proved to be a great success so we are going to do the same this year.

Branch Competition Fantasy Wear

Create a fantasy fashion accessory e.g. a belt, bag, hat, headdress, collar, weapon, gauntlet, shawl etc based on myth, legend or fiction from the past or future. The item must fit on a table space 50 x 50 cms (and be no more that 100 cms high) or be able to be hung on a wall in a maximum space of 50 cms x 100 cms. A local costume maker/embroiderer,

As usual refreshments will be available but bring your own lunch. There is plenty of parking at this venue.
